Pineapple Upside Down Cake Buttermilk Frozen Yogurt

Our Pineapple Upside Down Cake Buttermilk Frozen Yogurt starts with batch after batch of pineapple Lady Cake—a freestyle of Jeni’s Lady Cake recipe from page 100 of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream Desserts—made from scratch in our kitchen. Once the cake has cooled, it’s cut into strips and then cubed, and then mixed with pineapple and caramel sauce. The cake mixture is then folded into buttermilk frozen yogurt along with pockets of roasted red cherry sauce (also made from scratch).
