Queen City Cayenne
The very first ice cream Jeni ever made! You’ll first taste velvety and rich milk chocolate ice cream made with Fair Trade cocoa powder. Then comes the kick from cayenne pepper and Vietnamese cinnamon. The name is a tribute to Cincinnati (nicknamed the Queen City), famous for its sweet and spicy chili made with cayenne and a hint of chocolate and cinnamon.
Gooey Butter Cake
A riff on St. Louis’ regional specialty—thin, moist yellow cake with cream cheese and gooey butter smear. It’s the kind of cloyingly sweet dessert where two bites is plenty, but you can’t help but finish the whole thing. Our ice cream version has the same effect with dense cream cheese ice cream loaded with crumbles of soft vanilla cake and swirls of a honey-butter caramel sauce made in our kitchen. Think of it as the best blondie you’ve ever tasted covered in caramel sauce.
A devilish detour from traditional rocky road ice cream. It’s wildly comforting dense milk chocolate ice cream with salty smoked almonds, marshmallows made from scratch in our kitchen, and a swirl of sweet, buttery caramel sauce. The only thing better is love.
One of Jeni’s original flavors, Bangkok Peanut was borne out of a pad Thai rivalry between several merchants at the North Market, all claiming theirs as the best in town. With her tongue in cheek, Jeni whipped up an ice cream version of pad Thai: roasted peanut butter and wildflower honey ice cream with toasted fresh-ground coconut and cayenne pepper. It was an instant hit.
Juniper & Lemon Curd
This ice cream is our ode to American author (and Columbus native) James Thurber, who had a soft spot for a great martini. Inspired by a classic gin martini with a twist, Juniper & Lemon Curd is an ice cream with refreshing zing—tart swirls of lemon curd made from scratch in our kitchen, and sweet cream invigorated with cool notes of juniper berries.
