Orange, lemon, honey, cayenne pepper, and bourbon—just like a hot toddy.
Hot Toddy Sorbet tastes exactly like the cold-soothing drink for which it’s named. We’ve made this sorbet for years to help stave off the chill of deep Midwestern winters. It’s modeled on a hot toddy recipe Jeni’s mother and grandmother used to make—with tea, honey, lemon, orange, whiskey, and a touch of cayenne pepper. And so it packs a very bold flavor. You initially get a kick of cayenne, ginger, and orange, followed by a subtle hint of heat from Maker’s Mark bourbon. Lemon and a touch of honey balance it out.
