My new favorite

"I am not a chocolate lover so I bought this for my wife who thinks Darkest Chocolate by Jeni's is Nirvana. Opaque changed my mind about chocolate and is my wife's new favorite. The creamy texture, rich fudge taste and the lightest lingering hint of raspberry make for a sublime ice cream experience. The visual impact of the deep black color promises something different which the ice cream then delivers. Two thumbs up!!!"

The mystery of OPAQUE

"When it was first announced there was no description of the taste so I waited. Once I saw the description I went to Jeni’s shop to get a couple scoops. Then I bought the remaining pints at the shop, which was 3. So I went online and bought 5 more pints. The family has enjoyed them. I hope it returns."

"LOVE Opaque. There's no question that the ice cream is rich, but the way the espresso brings out that chocolate flavor makes this ice cream irresistible. Personally, though it was good, I don't think the cherry flavor is necessary (I found myself going around those bites). An ice cream with just a deep chocolate enhanced through espresso would be DELIGHTFUL. Also would like to note that the chocolate waffle cones available in scoop shops should be a permanent option. It goes so well with so many different flavors!"
