ACCOUNTING MANAGER - COLUMBUS

Jeni’s needs a skilled Accounting Manager to oversee its Accounting team of mathletes. This individual will oversee daily activities, monitor workloads, and ensure timely and accurate reporting, as well as develop and implement new procedures to enhance the workflow of the department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
  • Prepare standard month end journal entries and perform related account reconciliations
  • Maintain Financial Statements and Chart of Accounts
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy

The right candidate must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 4-6 of years related experience

Food Sample Demonstrator, Food/Product Demonstrator

A sister-company to Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Eat Well Distribution works with emerging food producers that offer unique, high-quality, delicious grocery items.  Eat Well Distribution Brand Ambassadors spread the word about Eat Well’s clients around the country by doing in-store food demonstrations and providing samples while sharing information about the brand and product. They prepare and demonstrate the products while offering samples coupled with facts and information to increase knowledge.

This is a part time hourly position.  Eat Well Distribution requires Brand Ambassadors to transport themselves and their equipment to a variety of retailers in their area.

Brand Ambassadors will:

  • Introduce customers to brand by sharing information about the brand and samples of product
  • Become familiar with a variety of products and provide demonstrations and samples from ice creams to pizzas to jerky
  • Improve appearance of products on shelves
  • Set up and clean up space after the demonstration
  • Follow guidelines and procedures to ensure each sampling event is executed properly
  • Promptly inform clients of results of sampling events by completing demo reports including pictures
  • Stand for the entirety of the demonstration and transport any necessary materials which can include: table, toaster oven, samples, etc
  • Provide excellent customer service

Ambassadors should:

EVENTS AMBASSADOR - LOS ANGELES

We’re now hiring Events Shift Leaders & Ambassadors to oversee events, manage scoopers, and help serve our devoted (and brand-­new) customers at events in Los Angeles.

We prefer candidates with events experience, but we are willing to train candidates with flexible schedules and the desire to learn the job and work hard.

HOURS:

They vary, but the majority of hours worked will be during evenings and weekends. Again—an open and flexible schedule is required.

A MUST:

An Events Shift Leader must have a driver’s license and a clean driving record. A motorcycle license—or willingness to obtain one—is a plus.

FACILITIES ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR - COLUMBUS

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream is adding a Facilities Engineering Manager to our production and bakery teams in Columbus, Ohio. The Facilities Engineer Manager will optimize, production, efficiency and safety while maintaining Jeni’s small-batch, made from the ground up quality to meet rapid growth plans.

As the Facilities Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Oversee operational process improvements and maintenance of the equipment throughout the facility
  • Implement a planned preventative maintenance strategy
  • Improve existing equipment specifications, performance requirements while reducing machine downtime
  • Ensure machines are running at optimal performance
  • Drive continuous improvement of engineering standards and processes
  • Develop and recommend equipment specifications, performance requirements, cost analyst and proposals for new machinery

FULFILLMENT DRIVER - ATLANTA

The Jeni’s Fulfillment department is in need of a driver for the Atlanta team. The fulfillment driver will work in our warehouse and deliver ice cream to both internal and external customers.Start time and hours will vary by route, however this position is a perfect fit for morning people, work can start as early as 5 a.m.

To be considered for the position candidates must have a valid drivers license with no felony charges and no more than two moving violations in the last two years. We’re looking for someone who will hustle, scrap, focus and compete to support Jeni’s growth and expansion.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a warehouse environment appropriate for frozen and dry storage
  • Work within our ERP system (Plex) to ensure inventory accuracy while managing FIFO system for our products
  • Operate both light and medium duty vehicles in the delivery of frozen and dry goods to our scoop shops and wholesale partners
  • Maintain processes and metrics to track accuracy and efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and wholesale partners
  • Report daily to supervisors regarding interactions and issues
  • Comply with warehouse safety requirements
  • Responsible for the delivery & return of product and keeping organized paperwork including logs and signature of receipt

The Jeni’s Fulfillment department is a vital part of the Jeni’s team, delivering ice cream to our scoop shops and shipping ice cream to our retail partners.  To be considered for the position, a valid drivers license with no felony charges and no more than two moving violations in the last two years is required. Must either have a class A or B cdl endorsement or be ready to obtain one through our company. This will include pre-employment and random drug screening as well as a DOT physical. Should posses the ability to operate and stay focused in below freezing environments for extended periods of time and be able to lift 50-80 pounds regularly and routinely.  Summer hours will be required from 6:00am to 2:30pm or 8:00am to 4:30pm.   An eye for detail when considering work equipment and vehicles, processes and safety, previous experience with large powered work equipment a plus. Brains, trustworthiness and a positive attitude will be prized. Full time employee status, earning $11.00/hour for the first month. After a successful completion of the probationary period the wage increases to $12.00/ hr. 30-40 hours a week, must be available to work weekends. PRODUCTION KITCHEN & BAKERY - COLUMBUS

Jeni’s is seeking seasonal employees to start immediately in our production kitchen.  Seasonal employees would work 40-hours a week from hire date through August.  The starting pay for this position is $9.00/hour, increasing to $9.25/hr after 90 days.  Potential for movement into a specialty such as machine team or prep team with additional premium.  Ice Cream Production Employees will be familiar with what distinguishes Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams from other ice creams; available to work early mornings, nights, weekends and overtime; able to provide consistent, world-class work with every single batch; exhibit passion for teamwork, an eye for detail, a willingness to clean, stamina (to hand-pint for hours), and the ability to work in an exciting, fast-paced, and cold environment.

Employees will be expected to carry out the day to day production duties such as pint filling, labeling, and dish washing. Employees will be expected to do work inside the freezers and coolers at the kitchen. Employees are expected to stand for 6 to 8 hours at a time and lift 20-40 pounds.

All employees will be required to follow all food and personal safety guidelines outlined by our OSHA and HAACP programs.  In addition, employees will be expected to fill out any logs or forms for regulatory purposes on a daily basis.

Jeni’s is looking for an experienced team member to join our wholesale inside sales team. You will support the sales managers with information on product sell-through by customer and effectiveness of promotions to ensure that we are selling products with the optimal pricing program to generate the best returns.

As the sales analyst, you will:

  • Gather sell-through information by customer, region or store, and product
  • Match sell-through data with pricing promotions and other marketing programs to understand effectiveness of promotional programs
  • Serve as the liaison between the sales and finance teams to model likely financial results for sales programs that are being considered
  • Provide ad hoc support for the sales team
  • Provide data to help with production projections

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong computer literacy, with emphasis in Excel and other data management tools
  • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal

SHIPPING COORDINATOR - COLUMBUS

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is adding a Shipping Coordinator in its ever-growing logistics department! Our teams move the world’s best ice cream to both internal and external customers every day. We are looking for someone who has a passion for Jeni’s, is willing to learn new tasks, works well as a team player, communicates professionally, and demonstrates hustle and guts on a daily basis. This person should have a strong eye for detail and be able to communicate across multiple departments. He or she will be processing orders through our ERP system first and foremost. Other tasks include maintaining inventory levels physically and virtually, troubleshooting errors within orders, and emailing customers about orders that are being processed. A basic understanding of Google mail, calendar, and drive as well as Microsoft Excel is a must. Experience with ERP or WMS systems is a plus.

The shipping team is in need of help.  Our team ships the world best ice cream to the world best customers on a daily basis. We are looking for people that can work in sub-zero temperatures, have a strong sense of urgency and an eagle eye for detail.
