“This isn’t just an ice cream flavor; it’s a tribute to the Sundays spent around the dinner table with my family. It’s a taste that invites our guests to feel at home, capturing those warm, familiar moments and making it the perfect flavor for our collaboration with Jeni’s.”

Capturing a memory

Bastani Sonnati is a special type of collaboration: where one of our friends trusts us to capture a flavor from their childhood. Ben Hundreds, co-founder of Los Angeles streetwear brand The Hundreds, asked us to make Bastani Sonnati, or Persian ice cream — the treat he “grew up eating as a Persian kid from L.A.”

Our version upholds the traditional flavor profile: saffron, rose water, and pistachio. We started with the highest-quality saffron we could find, sourced from Curio Spice Co. An aromatic spice that gives the ice cream earthy flavor with floral and honeyed notes — plus its stunning golden hue. A touch of rose water pushes the saffron into full bloom. And a scattering of pistachios adds a satisfying nutty crunch.

Now Scooping

Bastani Sonnati is available in scoop shops nationwide for a limited time. We recommend The Hundreds Signature: Bastani Sonnati paired with Brown Butter Almond Brittle and Brambleberry Crisp, served in a Buttercrisp Waffle Bowl.

The Hundreds Collection

The delicious results of our latest collab, sent straight to your door. Anchored by Bastani Sonnati, this collection also features four other flavors handpicked by our friends at The Hundreds.

SOLD OUT!

A flavor as special as Bastani Sonnati deserved the coolest companion merch. And The Hundreds delivered. Their limited-edition T-shirt was such a knockout, it sold out lightning-fast. But this sweet design, done up in The Hundreds’s signature retro streetwear style, is something we’ll never forget.

Play it again

Ice cream tastes even better with music. Which is why our friends at The Hundreds specially curated this playlist to complement our collab flavor. So crack open a pint of Bastani Sonnati, press play, and let the good times roll.

About The Hundreds

We’ve been friends and fans of The Hundreds since their early days. Founded in 2003 by Bobby and Ben Hundreds, The Hundreds use clothing — streetwear inspired by ’90s workwear and Californian subculture tribes — as a platform for telling stories and bringing people together. We love The Hundreds for their innovative style, focus on community, and guiding philosophy of “people over product.”
